People do not mind the commission; they mind being surprised by it. Automatic DM on keyword LIGHT:

Short version for a story reply:

Keep the disclosure in plain words. "Affiliate link" plus "same price for you" says everything needed.

Why does the disclosure belong in the DM itself?

Because the DM is where the link is. A disclosure buried in a caption or bio does not travel with the message. Putting it in the same sentence as the link is the clearest way to meet both the platform's and your audience's expectations.

It also reads as confidence. Someone who hides the commission looks like they are selling; someone who states it looks like they are recommending.

How do you track which reel sends affiliate clicks?
