How to Sell Diet Consultations as a Product

19 October 2026

Most nutritionists on Instagram sell by negotiation: someone DMs "charges?", you reply, they vanish. The alternative is to sell the consultation as a product with a fixed menu, a visible price and payment before the slot is confirmed. The Viralyze app gives you the booking menu, the upfront UPI payment and the keyword that delivers it, so the negotiation never starts.

Below is a menu, a keyword plan and the follow-up that turns one consultation into a programme.

What does a consultation look like as a product?

A named service with a duration, a price and a format. Build it like a salon menu with main services and add-ons that combine automatically.

Example menu for a clinical dietitian in Hyderabad:

  • Initial consultation, 45 minutes, Google Meet, ₹1,200.
  • Follow-up review, 20 minutes, phone or WhatsApp call, ₹500.
  • Add-on: 7-day personalised meal plan PDF, ₹700.
  • Add-on: grocery list for the plan, ₹200.

A client picking the initial consultation plus both add-ons sees ₹2,100 and 45 minutes, calculated for them.

How does the booking page get to the client?

By comment keyword. Post a reel on, say, PCOS-friendly breakfasts, and ask viewers to comment PLAN. The Auto-DM carries your booking link, and the client picks a slot that Google Calendar shows as free.

Payment is taken upfront with UPI, cards or net banking, so a booked slot is a paid slot. You decide whether clients can cancel themselves and until when; refunds go back automatically within that window.

Does upfront payment put people off?

Less than an unanswered "charges?" does. A clear price on a page is easier to say yes to than a number in a private negotiation, and the people who leave at the price were not going to turn up anyway.

Viralyze shows the client a confirmation page where they can add the session to their calendar, reschedule, or cancel if allowed, and sends WhatsApp reminders before the slot. In our experience those two things reduce no-shows more than any discount.

How do I manage a calendar full of consultations?

Connect Google Calendar once and choose which calendars block slots and where bookings land. The sync is two-way, so a hospital shift added on your phone removes those hours from the booking page.

Set buffers of ten or fifteen minutes between consultations to write notes, and use partial days off ("after 2 PM Saturdays") for your own routine. Online clients are invited to the event with a Google Meet link automatically.

How does one consultation become a programme?

Through the Inbox and the contact list. After the first session, send the meal plan PDF from the Inbox; long messages become a downloadable PDF with open tracking, so you know when the client has read it.

Then list a four-week programme as a course product and mention it in the follow-up. Every client sits in your contacts with a source tag, so you can see whether the PCOS reel or the "office lunch" reel produced more programme buyers, and plan the next month's content accordingly.

Frequently asked questions

**Can I offer an in-person option as well as Meet?** Yes. Formats available are in person, Google Meet, phone and WhatsApp call, and the client chooses on the booking page.

**What if a client books but never fills in their intake form?** Send the form link from the Inbox straight after booking; the conversation keeps their original comment as context so you know what they were interested in.

**Is there a per-client fee as my practice grows?** No. Viralyze has flat pricing with 0% platform fee, starting at ₹199 a month, and no per-contact charges.
