How to Launch a Digital Product Using Instagram Comments

19 October 2026

A launch on Instagram used to mean posting the link in your bio and hoping people found it. Comment keywords changed that: now the launch happens inside the post, where the audience already is. With the Viralyze app you schedule an Auto-DM to start with your launch reel, deliver the checkout link to every commenter, and close the window automatically when the launch ends.

This is a five-day launch plan for a digital product, from tease to close.

What should happen before launch day?

Three things: the product exists on a checkout page, a free piece of it exists as a lead magnet, and the launch automation is scheduled.

Build it in this order:

1. List the product in Viralyze as a digital download or course and set the launch price. 2. Create a free lead magnet from one section of the product that collects an email. 3. Post a reel two days before launch with "comment SAMPLE" and the follow-gate on. 4. Set the launch automation with the keyword LAUNCH and schedule it to start with your next post. 5. Set auto-pause for the end of the launch window, for example five days.

The free sample does two jobs. It warms up buyers and builds a contact list you can message on launch morning.

How do you run launch day?

Post the launch reel, and the scheduled automation goes Live with it. Anyone who comments LAUNCH receives the DM in about a second, with no waiting for you to notice.

For a copywriter launching a ₹1,999 "Landing Page Swipe File", the DM might say: "It is live! 40 landing page teardowns with the exact copy, ₹1,999 until Friday, then ₹2,999. The checkout takes UPI and cards, and the file downloads right after payment." The public reply, rotated through variations like "Sent you the link", keeps the comment thread looking busy, which tends to draw more comments.

Replies land in the Inbox with the original comment attached, so "is this useful for SaaS pages?" is easy to answer in context.

Should the launch price be time-limited?

Usually yes, because a visible deadline moves fence-sitters. The auto-pause setting enforces it for you: set the automation to pause on the closing date and time. After that, commenters no longer receive the launch link.

You can then create a second automation on the same reel with the regular-price checkout, so the reel keeps selling after the launch at the standard price.

What do you post during the window?

One reel or story a day, each with a different angle and the same keyword:

  • Day 1: the launch reel with the offer
  • Day 2: a story showing one page from the product, with story replies as a trigger
  • Day 3: a reel answering the most common Inbox question
  • Day 4: a reel with a buyer's result if you have one you are allowed to share
  • Day 5: a "closes tonight" story

Story reply triggers work the same way as comment triggers in Viralyze, so the story on day 2 and day 5 can send the checkout link too.

How do you read the results?

Open the per-automation funnel: comments, matched, delivered, clicked, signed up. Comments measure interest, clicks measure the DM's persuasiveness, and signed up measures the checkout page. Fix the weakest step before the next launch.

The home screen shows revenue over the launch window and your top reels by DMs. In many launches, the reel that answered an objection outperforms the announcement reel, which tells you what to lead with next time.

Frequently asked questions

**Can I schedule the launch for a specific time?** Yes. Automations can start now, with your next post, or at a set date and time, and pause after N days, N DMs or a date.

**What if someone comments after the launch closes?** They see the public reply but do not receive the launch link; a second automation can send the regular-price checkout instead.

**Do I need to be online during the launch?** No. Delivery runs on its own; you only need the app to reply to questions in the Inbox.

Start your 7-day free trial of Viralyze today, no card needed, and run your next launch from the comments instead of the bio.
