How to Delete Your Viralyze Account and Data
Deleting your account is a short process, but do it in the right order so you do not lose anything you still need: export first, cancel the subscription, delete from settings, then revoke the Instagram and Google connections. Viralyze stores your contacts, bookings and orders on the account, so once it is deleted they are gone and cannot be restored. Automations stop the moment Instagram access is revoked, whichever step you do first.
Here is the checklist, plus the difference between cancelling, pausing and deleting.
Should I cancel, pause or delete?
Cancel the subscription if you want to stop paying but might come back. The plan stops renewing, and your automations, contacts and pages remain until you decide to delete. Cancel anytime; there is no lock-in.
Pause automations if you only want DMs to stop for a while. Everything stays intact and can be turned back Live with one tap.
Delete the account if you want all data removed. This is permanent.
What should I export before deleting?
1. Contacts: open the contacts list and export to CSV. This includes emails from lead magnets, DM leads with source tags, and booking and order contacts. 2. Orders: note or screenshot pending orders and any refunds in progress, because refunds cannot be processed once the account is gone. 3. Bookings: future bookings already sit on your Google Calendar, but the client's phone and email live in the booking record, so export them. 4. Analytics: screenshot the home screen and any funnels you want to keep. These are not included in the CSV. 5. Link-in-bio: copy your links somewhere, and update your Instagram bio to a new destination before the page goes offline.
A home chef who had sold a ₹350 recipe ebook through the shop exported 1,140 contacts before deleting, so that her buyers list moved with her to email. Without the export, those addresses would have been deleted along with the account.
How do I delete the account step by step?
1. Cancel the active subscription from the plan or billing screen, so no renewal is scheduled. 2. Confirm any pending refunds have completed. 3. Open settings and choose delete account. 4. Confirm the deletion when asked. 5. In Instagram, go to settings, then apps and websites, and remove Viralyze. 6. In your Google account, open third-party access and remove the calendar permission.
Steps 5 and 6 are good hygiene even though deletion already stops the app using them.
What happens to my customers' data?
Under the DPDP Act you are the data fiduciary and Viralyze is the processor acting on your instruction. Deleting the account is that instruction: audience data held for you is removed. Your customers' payment details were handled by the RBI-authorised payment aggregator and were never stored by the app itself.
If a customer asks you to delete their data while your account is still active, remove them from contacts; you remain responsible for any copies you exported.
Will my Instagram or Google accounts be affected?
No. Your Instagram account, posts, followers and DMs are untouched. Public replies the automation already posted stay as comments, since they are ordinary comments from your account. Google Calendar events already created stay on your calendar.
Frequently asked questions
**Can I reactivate a deleted account?** No. Deletion is permanent; you would start a new account from scratch, including a new trial if eligible.
**Does cancelling the subscription delete my data?** No. Cancelling only stops billing. Data stays until you delete the account.
**Will DMs that were already sent be withdrawn?** No. Sent DMs are messages in Instagram and remain in both inboxes.
