How to Create a 'Comment PRICE' Funnel for Product Sellers
A comment PRICE funnel sends the price, the checkout link and the answers to the obvious questions to anyone who comments PRICE, within about a second, without you typing anything. For a product seller this matters because "price?" is the single most common comment on a product reel and the one most often left unanswered. With Viralyze the keyword, the DM and a 0 percent fee checkout page are built in, so the whole funnel is one automation.
This is the setup Omkar Gunjal uses: he sets it on PRICE comments and the DMs go out while he is shooting.
Why do people comment "price" instead of checking the bio?
Because the bio is two taps away and a comment is one. People also comment to signal interest and expect a reply, and when the reply takes six hours they have moved on.
A DM that lands in a second meets the buyer at the moment of interest. It also keeps the price out of the public thread, which many sellers prefer when they run offers.
What the PRICE DM should include
Put the number first. Do not make them read a paragraph to find it.
A good structure for a small jewellery brand:
"Hi! The oxidised jhumka set is ₹649, free shipping across India. Available in silver and antique gold. Ships in 3 working days, COD not available but UPI, cards and net banking all work. Tap below to order."
Then the product checkout page. That one message answers price, variants, delivery time and payment, which are the four questions that would otherwise fill your Inbox.
Setting up the automation
1. Create the product in the Viralyze shop with its photos, variants and price. The checkout page is generated for you. 2. Create an automation on the product reel, or on "any post" if the product appears in several. 3. Add keywords PRICE, COST, and a Hinglish variant like "price kya hai". Matching is not case-sensitive and handles typos. 4. Write the DM with the price in line one and attach the checkout. 5. Add a public reply such as "Sent you the details 💌" so the thread shows you responded. 6. Test with "Price??" and "kitne ka hai" in the live tester. 7. Turn it on.
Should I use the follow-gate on a product funnel?
Usually no. A follow-gate adds a step between a buyer and the checkout, and buyers are the people you least want to slow down.
The exception is a reel built to grow the account, where the product is secondary. In that case Viralyze will send up to three polite nudges to follow, then the link, and existing followers get the link straight away.
Tracking what sells
The per-automation funnel shows comments, matched, delivered, clicked and signed up. For a product, "clicked" means they opened the checkout, and the shop reports the sale.
Watch two things: the click rate on the DM and the purchase rate on the checkout. A low click rate means the DM text is weak. A low purchase rate means the price, shipping or trust signals on the checkout need work. Payouts arrive weekly to your bank, and every buyer becomes a contact you can export.
Handling replies
Not everyone buys from the first DM. Some reply "do you have it in a bigger size" or "can you do ₹500". Those replies land in the Inbox with the comment as context, and you have Instagram's 24-hour window to answer from the app or in Instagram.
Set a rule for yourself: clear the Inbox twice a day. The automation handles the first message so you only handle the ones that need a person.
Frequently asked questions
**Can different keywords send different product prices?** Yes. One automation can hold several keywords, each with its own DM, so RING sends the ring checkout and SET sends the set.
**What if someone comments PRICE on an old reel from months ago?** Instagram allows one private reply per comment within seven days of the comment, so a fresh comment on an old reel still triggers the DM as long as the automation is live on that post.
**Does Viralyze take a cut of each sale?** No. The shop checkout has a 0 percent platform fee; payments go through an RBI-authorised aggregator and are paid out weekly.
