How to Connect Google Calendar to Viralyze
To connect Google Calendar to Viralyze, open the bookings section of the app, choose connect Google Calendar, sign in with your Google account, and then pick two things: which calendars should block your available slots, and which calendar new bookings should be written to. You do this once. From then on, sync is two-way, busy events and days off are respected, and clients are invited to the event with a Google Meet link when the session is online.
Here is the setup, the settings that matter, and a worked example.
How do I connect it step by step?
1. In the Viralyze app, open bookings and build your service menu first, or at least one service. 2. Tap connect Google Calendar and sign in with Google. 3. Select the calendars that should block slots, for example your personal calendar and a work calendar. 4. Select the calendar where confirmed bookings should be created. 5. Set buffers between appointments and add any days off. 6. Share your booking link, such as shre.pro/yourname/book, in your bio or by Auto-DM.
Viralyze is not affiliated with Google; the connection uses your Google account's normal permission screen.
What does two-way sync actually do?
It keeps both sides truthful. An event you add in Google Calendar, say a dentist appointment on Thursday at 11, blocks that slot on your booking page. A booking a client makes on your page appears in your chosen Google calendar with the client invited.
If the client reschedules or cancels from their confirmation page (when you allow it), the calendar event updates too, and the slot reopens for someone else.
Can I block days off and partial days?
Yes. Days off can be a single date, a date range, or a partial day such as "after 2 PM". Buffers add breathing room before or after each session so back-to-back bookings do not collide.
A practical pattern for a voice coach who teaches mornings only: set every weekday as off after 1 PM, add a 15-minute buffer, and block the second week of December as a range for a holiday. The booking page then only offers mornings, with gaps, and nothing in that December week.
How do online sessions get a Meet link?
When a service is set to the Google Meet format, the calendar event is created with a Meet link and the client is invited to it. They can also add the appointment to their own calendar from the confirmation page. Other formats are in person, phone, and WhatsApp call, and each service can have its own.
WhatsApp reminders go out before the slot, so the client has both a calendar invite and a nudge.
What does a full booking menu look like with calendar sync?
Take a Chandigarh dietitian. Her menu has two main services and one add-on:
- Initial consultation, 45 minutes, Google Meet, paid upfront by UPI
- Follow-up, 20 minutes, phone
- Add-on: 7-day meal plan PDF
A client picks the consultation plus the add-on; duration and price combine automatically. Payment is taken upfront, the event lands in her "Clinic" calendar with a Meet link, her personal calendar still blocks her gym slots, and the booking appears as a contact with a booking source tag.
What if slots look wrong on my booking page?
Check three things first. One, that the calendar containing the conflicting event is ticked as a blocking calendar. Two, that your days off and buffers are what you intended. Three, that the Google connection is still active; if you changed your Google password, reconnect.
Because sync is two-way, a quick test is to add a dummy event in Google and refresh the booking page to see the slot disappear.
