How to Combine Multiple Services Into One Visit Automatically
If you run a salon, clinic, studio or any service where people want "this plus that", the fix is a service menu, not a longer DM thread. Customers choose a main service, tick any add-ons, and the booking page works out the total time and total price on its own. Viralyze builds this into its booking link, so one link handles the whole combination.
What does a combined-service booking actually look like?
It looks like a salon menu with tick boxes. The customer picks one main service, then optionally adds extras, and the page shows a single slot and a single price.
Here is a concrete example for a small hair studio:
- Main services: Haircut (45 min, ₹600), Colour (90 min, ₹2,500), Keratin (120 min, ₹4,000)
- Add-ons: Beard trim (15 min, ₹200), Head massage (20 min, ₹300), Hair spa (30 min, ₹800)
A customer picking Haircut plus Beard trim plus Head massage gets an 80-minute slot at ₹1,100.
How do I set up a service menu that combines automatically?
Add your main services first, then your add-ons, and the booking page handles the rest. The process in the Viralyze app takes a few minutes:
1. Open Bookings and create your booking link. It will live at a shre.pro address with your name. 2. Add each main service with a name, duration and price. 3. Add each add-on the same way. Add-ons are the items customers can stack on top of a main service. 4. Choose the format for each service: in person, Google Meet, phone, or WhatsApp call. 5. Connect Google Calendar once so the combined duration blocks the right amount of time. 6. Decide whether payment is taken upfront by UPI or card, and whether customers may cancel themselves and until when.
Once this is on, the customer sees the menu, picks what they want, and only the slots long enough for the combined duration are offered.
Why does the duration matter more than the price?
Because an under-booked slot is what causes the next customer to wait. If a customer books Colour and Hair spa and your system only reserved 90 minutes, you are 30 minutes late for whoever comes next.
A menu that adds durations together protects your day. Buffers you set in the booking settings are respected too, so if you need 10 minutes to reset a chair, that time is kept clear between combined appointments.
Two mistakes to avoid with combined bookings
First, do not list combinations as separate services. "Haircut + Beard" and "Haircut + Beard + Massage" as individual menu items means a menu of fifteen lines that nobody reads. List the parts, let the customer combine.
Second, do not make an add-on a main service. If "Head massage" can be booked alone, it belongs in main services; if it only makes sense alongside something else, keep it as an add-on. This keeps your calendar from filling with 20-minute standalone slots you did not intend to offer.
How does this connect to Instagram?
You send the booking page by Auto-DM from a reel or place it in your link in bio. Set a keyword such as "BOOK" on a before-and-after reel; anyone who comments it receives the booking link in about a second, picks their services, and pays upfront.
Because the booking page already contains the full menu, you are not answering "can I add a spa to the colour appointment?" in DMs. The page answers it. Every booking also lands in your contacts list in Viralyze with a source tag, so you know it came from that reel.
Frequently asked questions
**Can a customer pick two main services, like Colour and Keratin, in one visit?** Yes. Customers can pick one or more items from the menu, and the durations and prices combine into one slot and one total.
**What if the combined booking is longer than any free gap in my calendar?** Only slots that fit the full combined duration are shown, so the customer is offered a different time rather than an appointment that overruns.
**Do add-ons change the payment amount collected upfront?** Yes. The combined price is what the customer pays by UPI or card at the time of booking, and refunds go back automatically if a permitted cancellation happens.
